A method and system for treating cancer of a patient are disclosed. In a first aspect, the method comprises injecting bleomycin into the patient and administering excorporeal ultrasound to a localized area of the cancer, wherein the bleomycin more readily enters the localized area to treat the cancer of the patient. In a second aspect, the system comprises an injection unit for injecting bleomycin into the patient and an ultrasound module for administering excorporeal ultrasound to a localized area of the cancer, wherein the bleomycin more readily enters the localized area to treat the cancer of the patient.
