A portable terminal is provided with: an opening/closing portion that opens and closes; an open/close-detection unit for detecting whether the opening/closing portion is open or closed; a first processor for performing a first process while the opening/closing portion is detected as being open by the open/close-detection unit; and a second processor for performing a second process that is a process oriented to the result of the first process, when the opening/closing portion is detected by the open/close-detection unit to be closed.
