<p>The invention relates to a brake light device for a vehicle, which is capable of emitting a light signal, the brightness of which is variable, wherein said device includes a light source (10) arranged between a light splitter (30), such as a two-way mirror or set of prisms, and a reflective component (20), the light splitter (30) and/or the reflective component (20) comprising at least one surface which is exposed to the light signal and which has a predetermined radius of curvature. The light splitter (30) and/or the reflective component (20) are movable between a low-deceleration position, corresponding to when the splitter and the reflective component are spaced apart from each other, and a high-deceleration position, corresponding to when the splitter and the reflective component are adjacent to one another, a portion of the light rays reflected by the reflective component generating light reflections (15) in the light splitter, which are directed toward the vehicles following behind. The number of generated reflections (15) depends on the radius of curvature and on the distance separating the light splitter (30) and the reflective element (20).</p> |
