<p>The spring is provided in order to constitute a directable damping means and has the particular feature that the turns (2) thereof have a special configuration that, when the spring is compressed, causes said turns (2) and the actual upper turn (3) on which the thrust force is applied to undergo not only a vertical movement but also a transverse movement to one side, depending on the orientation of the turns (2), which gives rise to a directable damping of the force exerted on the body in which the springs (1) are used, such as a mattress (5), a seat, pillow, cushion, etc. Said spring (1) is obtained by means of a method that comprises positioning a spring with conventional "S" turns and securing said spring by means of the two end turns thereof, in order to give rise to lateral thrusts on the intermediate turns with a view to achieving the deformation of said turns which, in combination with a movement of the turns, means that these latter change from the conventional "S" configuration into an approximately "Z" configuration, effecting thermal treatment of the spring overall in order to achieve the definitive conversion thereof.</p> |
