The oven has a sinter chamber (24) arranged in a resonator chamber to retain sinter material and sintering atmosphere. The sinter chamber is surrounded by a wall (29). A gutter-shaped heating element (28) is provided in the resonator chamber, where the element is heatable by microwaves prevalent in the resonator chamber. The element is partially made of material having absorption ability for electromagnetic energy of the microwaves greater than that of ceramic material from which the wall is made and another ceramic material provided for thermal insulation in the resonator chamber. The sinter chamber is formed as a rectilinear pipe. The heating element is formed as a pipe.
