PURPOSE: A traffic signal apparatus for driving safety at an intersection and a control method thereof are provided to improve driver safety by providing information about a vehicle entering from the left or right direction at an intersection. CONSTITUTION: A sensor unit(10) senses driving data of a vehicle entering into an intersection. A traffic information processor(40) generates first and second signals. The first control signal corresponds to control signal data. The second control signal corresponds to the sensed driving data. A display unit(50) displays driving information and control signal information.
