Drive system for an industrial truck with a combustion engine

The system has a switching gearbox coupled with a shaft of a four-shaft-planetary gear (10). A sensor device determines rotation of an internal combustion engine (VKM) and electric motors (EM1, EM2) and produces corresponding output signals. A control and regulating device (11) controls or regulates rotational speed and/or torque of the motors and combustion engine according to threshold value signals of a threshold value sensor and based on output signals of the sensor device. The device (11) switches motor or generator operation of the motors and controls the actuation of the gearbox. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a drive system.
