PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for intercepting underwater weapons are provided to accurately blow up the underwater weapons as a plurality of sub-missiles is radially discharged from a parent munition. CONSTITUTION: A method for intercepting underwater weapons comprises following steps. A surface ship(100) detects torpedoes, and a movable launcher(200) is fired on the water surface in a predicted route of the torpedo. The movable launcher fires a parent munition(300) into the sea. The parent munition explodes after some time, and a plurality of sub-missiles(400) is discharged. The sub missiles detect the torpedo, and explode.
