SUBMERGED ENTRY NOZZLE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE: A submerged nozzle for continuous casting is provided to prevent breakage even in case of erosion of a melting damage reinforcement by employing a melting damage reinforcement whose thickness varies according to the degree of erosion. CONSTITUTION: A submerged nozzle for continuous casting comprises a nozzle body(110) and an annular melting damage reinforcement(120). The nozzle body has an internal flow path for molten metal and an annular groove(114) along the outer periphery to be in contact with molten metal surface and flux layer in a mold. The annular melting damage reinforcement is formed in the groove of the nozzle body using a material with higher corrosion resistance than the nozzle body material, wherein the thickness thereof increases from both ends to the center.
