The operating device (B1) has a support plate, and a stationary housing (2) that accommodates a movable magnet (3). Several movable control units (1) provided above the housing, are magnetically coupled with the magnet. A sensor is arranged below the support plate, for detecting the position of the magnet. The movable control units are equipped with several coupling elements (6,6a,6b) which are mutually spaced, for magnetically coupling the magnet with the housing during the operation of an operating unit.
