Disclosed herein is a bioabsorbable stent that has a high radial force and hence can be placed certainly at the lesion without the possibility of occluding the lesion again after placement. It is formed from a mixture composed of a bioabsorbable aliphatic polyester and an aromatic compound having one or more aromatic rings.
