PURPOSE: A wireless power transmission system and an operation method thereof are provided to efficiently calculate power being transmitted from a source, by consistently receiving information passed to a load of a target through the source. CONSTITUTION: A communications unit(115) determines communication channel among channels other than the one used in transmitting wireless power. The communications unit transmits status information signal indicating an operation mode of channel sharing signal, connection standard command, and source device by using channel frequency. A control unit(114) receives a response signal about the connection standard command from the target device. The control unit determines control ID of the target device. The control unit determines an initial wireless power which will be transmitted to the target device, considering the temperature change of the source device, the battery status of the target device, a change in receiving power quantity, and the temperature change of the target device.
