PURPOSE: A motion recognizing device and a method thereof are provided to equip a motion recognizing unit and a magnet unit with an end part or a nail of a thumb and an index finger, thereby increasing portability. CONSTITUTION: A motion recognizing unit(10) is equipped with a finger and includes an electromagnetic sensor. A magnet unit(20) is equipped with other fingers and forms a magnetic field detected/measured in the motion recognizing unit. A motion recognizing device controls an electronic device by measuring a relative posture and a distance of fingers which the motion recognizing unit and the magnet unit are equipped. The motion recognizing unit includes an equipped means of a ring shape to be equipped with the finger.
