<p>PURPOSE: An image forming device and a method thereof are provided to enlarge a color gamut of a low brightness region without adding a new recording agent. CONSTITUTION: An image forming device comprises a generation unit and a formation unit. The generation unit generates block color data for arranging a dot of a black color material on a recording medium and chromatic color data for arranging each dot of a plurality of chromatic color materials on the recording medium based on input image data. The formation unit forms images on the recording medium by using the black color material and the plurality of chromatic color materials based on the block color data and the chromatic color data.</p> |
