PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to improve light extraction efficiency by including a light extraction structure on which a roughness portion is formed. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode is formed on a supporting substrate. A light emitting structure comprises a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer(146), and an active layer. The active layer is formed between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer. A light extraction structure(152) is formed on one region of the second semiconductor layer. The light extraction structure comprises an uneven portion and a roughness portion(154). The roughness portion is formed on one region of the uneven portion and has predetermined roughness.
