SURFACE INSPECTION EQUIPMENT OF REACTOR HEAD PENETRATION TUBE USING EDDYCURRENT SENSOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for inspecting the surface of a reactor head tube using an eddy current sensor is provided to reduce exposure to radiation through a remote inspection operation by mounting a motion controller on a robot platform system. CONSTITUTION: An eddy current sensor(5) is installed in the end of a finger arm(6) supported by a finger arm control unit(7). The eddy current sensor generates an eddy current on the surface of a reactor head tube and vertically moves on the outer side of the reactor head tube according to a transfer control of a vertical transfer control unit(10). A rotation arm(8) fixes a DC motor, an encoder for determining a position, and the finger arm. A sensor camera photographs a contact state between the eddy current sensor and the reactor head tube and transmits the contact state to a motion controller(14).
