PURPOSE: A manipulator and a robot with the same are provided such that an operating unit moves along a three-dimensional trajectory at a low driving cost. CONSTITUTION: A manipulator(100) comprises a rotary unit(40), a reciprocating unit(50), a rod(80), and a guide unit(90). The guide unit reciprocates by the reciprocating unit. The guide unit rates or swivels by the rotary unit. The rod mounted on a joint ball(20) moves by the three dimensional motion of the joint ball. An operating unit(11) moves along a three dimensional trajectory by the rod.
