PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing glycerol impregnated hybrid coal with high caloric values and the hybrid coal are provided to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide exhausted from coal power plants. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing glycerol impregnated hybrid coal with high caloric values includes the following steps: glycerol from biodiesel producing processes is kneaded to form a paste; the paste is aged under room temperature and atmospheric pressure for 5-240 hours; the aged paste is pre-dried; the pre-dried paste is introduced into a drier to simultaneously dry coal and glycerol; and glycerol is impregnated in hydrophilic pores and on hydrophobic surfaces of the coal.
