<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve display quality of an image by minutely controlling the brightness of light supplied to a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of LED units(610) supply light to a liquid crystal panel. A plurality of scan lines receives a scan signal. A plurality of light emitting data lines receives a light emitting data current. A light emitting signal controller generates a scan control signal and a light emitting data control signal.
