<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve crash accuracy in a test vehicle by shortening the inertia traveling distance of the test vehicle after the release of connection between a traction wire rope and a traction device as much as possible concerning a vehicle crash test apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The traction device for a vehicle crash test apparatus has a clamp device including: a first clamp member CM<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to be fixed to a frame 1; a second clamp member CM<SB POS="POST">2</SB>for clamping a traction wire rope W<SB POS="POST">1</SB>in cooperation with the first clamp member CM<SB POS="POST">1</SB>; and a lever member for clamping the traction wire rope W<SB POS="POST">1</SB>or releasing the clamping. The second clamp member CM<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is turnably supported by the frame 1 in an energized state by a coil spring S in a clamping release direction. When the clamping is released, the second clamp member CM<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is turned only by an angle for allowing the traction wire rope W<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to secure a distance not to have contact with either of the first and second clamp members CM<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, CM<SB POS="POST">2</SB>by the energization force of the coil spring S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
