<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of attaining sufficiently high luminance as compared with a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device is provided with a solid-state light source 5 emitting a prescribed wavelength light out of wavelength regions from ultraviolet light to visible light, a phosphor layer 2 including at least one kind of a first phosphor which emits fluorescent light having a longer wavelength than an emission wavelength of the solid-state light source 5 and a shorter wavelength than red color light, when excited by exciting light from the solid-state light source 5, and a heat dissipation substrate 6 which is arranged on an opposite face to a face out of faces of the phosphor layer 2 where the excitation light from the solid-state light source 5 enters, and a jointing layer 17 for jointing the phosphor layer 2 and the heat dissipation substrate 6. The solid-state light source 5 and the phosphor layer 2 are located spatially in separation, and at least fluorescent light is extracted in a reflection method from a face on the side, out of the faces of the phosphor layer 2, where the excitation light from the solid-state light source 5 enters. The jointing layer 17 includes phosphor particles which, when excited by the excitation light from the solid-state light source 5, emits fluorescent light of a longer wavelength than the emission wavelength of the first phosphor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
