EMERGENCY TRAVEL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency travel control system for a hybrid electric vehicle capable of securing stable braking force even when the voltage of a low voltage battery is off an operation voltage range for a braking device when an abnormality occurs in a low voltage DC conversion device, and a control method for the same.

SOLUTION: The emergency travel control method for the hybrid electric vehicle includes: a step for determining an existence of an abnormality in a low voltage DC conversion device 100; a step for determining whether or not the voltage of the low voltage battery is off the operation voltage range for the braking device 200 when determined that the abnormality has occurred in the low voltage DC conversion device 100; a step for setting a speed restriction by taking into consideration mechanical braking force when the low voltage battery voltage is off the operation voltage range for the braking device; and a step for setting a maximum torque for restricting the torque of a driving motor according to the set speed restriction.
