<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic contactor capable of improving productivity, simplifying a brazing jig, and also restraining flatness or warpage of a plate part supporting a stationary contact. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic contactor is provided with an arc-extinguishing chamber 102 for housing a contact mechanism 101 having a pair of stationary contacts 111, 112 and a movable contact 130 contacting the pair of stationary contacts inside. The arc-extinguishing chamber 102 has through holes 105, 106 fixing at least the pair of stationary contacts, and a flat plate-like stationary contact supporting insulation substrate 105, on which a metallic foil is formed on an outer peripheral edge on one face by metallization processing. The stationary contacts 111, 112 and a metallic cylinder body 104 are soldered to the metallic foil of the stationary contact supporting insulation substrate 105.
