PURPOSE: A composition containing an extract of a green tea by-product for preventing and treating animal diseases caused by influenza virus is provided to ensure a excellent antiviral effect in vivo and in vitro and to be used in a veterinary composition and feed additives. CONSTITUTION: A veterinary composition for preventing and treating diseases caused by virus in animals except for human contains an extract of green tea by-products as an active ingredient. The diseases are caused by infection of influenza virus family. A feed additive, a feed composition, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating the diseases contain the extract as an active ingredient.
