<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize brightness of a blending zone with that of a non-blending zone in a multi-projection without disposing an optical element between a projection optical system and a projected surface. <P>SOLUTION: An image projection device uses an optical modulation element 7 to modulate light from a light source 1 and uses a projection optical system 8 to project the light onto a projected surface. The device has first optical systems 3 and 4 for dividing the light from the light source into plural fluxes, and a second optical system 6 for overlapping the plural fluxes from the first optical systems with one another to form an illumination area. The first and second optical systems allow an optical arrangement where the focus position of the second optical system is displaced for 1.0 mm or more from the optical reception surface of the optical modulation element in a first direction and where the center of the illumination area is displaced for 0.5 mm or more from the center of the optical reception surface of the optical modulation element in a second direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
