<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a connection hole in a regeneration pipe in a short time period by surely preventing leakage of a back-filling material into a mounting pipe opening when an existing pipe is regenerated using the regeneration pipe. <P>SOLUTION: This generation method of the existing pipe has a step of regenerating the existing pipe S by filling the gap between the existing pipe and regeneration pipe with the back-filling material after spirally winding a strip-shaped member inside the existing pipe to produce the regeneration pipe. In the method, before filling with the back-filling material C, a packer P is inserted and arranged into the mounting pipe opening Ka of the mounting pipe K connected to the existing pipe S from the ground, and a quick-setting agent is supplied to the back-filling material C around the packer P to solidify the back-filling material C after filling with the back-filling material C.
