<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation method for a cyclic organic compound and an oxidation device for a cyclic organic compound, by means of which production of successive oxides of a cyclic organic compound is suppressed and a target compound can be selectively obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The oxidation method for a cyclic organic compound comprises: allowing a photocatalyst to intervene with a solution prepared by dissolving a cyclic organic compound in a solvent that can generate active oxygen by an action of the photocatalyst; and irradiating the solution with light in an inert gas atmosphere to oxidize the cyclic organic compound while suppressing production of successive oxides by the inert gas to selectively obtain a predetermined compound. If the cyclic organic compound to be used is insoluble to a solvent that can generate active oxygen, the above process is carried out by allowing gas that can generate active oxygen to exist. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
