<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of an imaging failure of a recognition object in an image recognition device. <P>SOLUTION: The image recognition device includes an imaging part, an illumination part, an illumination control part and a recognition part. The imaging part takes an image of a recognition object. The illumination part irradiates an imaging area of the image taken by the imaging part with light. The illumination control part can change irradiation conditions of the illumination part according to an imaging timing of the imaging part.
