<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost multibeam light source that precisely controls the amount of light beams from a plurality of light sources and forms a high-quality image free from density unevenness by making variations between the light sources on a scanned surface minimal without packaging a surface light-emitting laser. <P>SOLUTION: A surface light-emitting semiconductor laser array chip 211 monolithically arranged in a two-dimensional manner, and a monitoring PD chip 212 for receiving a light beam from light sources are configured by mounting a light-emitting surface of the surface light-emitting semiconductor laser array chip 211 and a light receiving surface of the monitoring PD chip 212 on a transparent substrate 210 so as to be in contact with a wiring pattern formation surface of the transparent substrate 210, and wire-connected. The wiring pattern formation surface of the transparent substrate 210 is mounted in contact with a substrate surface of a printed substrate 215 with a drive circuit for driving the light sources of the surface light-emitting semiconductor laser array chip 211, for circuit connection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
