<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer dimension measuring instrument capable of highly accurately measuring curvature dimensions of a curved measuring object, outside dimensions of a measuring object such as a cylinder or a sphere and so on without using an expensive measuring instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The outer dimension measuring instrument includes: a base 1; a measurement table 10 mounted on the base 1 and having a fixed reference surface 11; a movable block 30 arranged on the base 1 so as to be moved through a guide mechanism 20 in a separation direction from the fixed reference surface 11; a movable gage head 40 arranged on the movable block 30 and having a movable reference surface 42 opposite to the fixed reference surface 11 of the measurement table 10; and measuring means 80 for measuring a moving distance of the movable gage head 40. The movable block 30 includes posture adjusting means 50 for adjusting the movable reference surface 42 of the movable gage head 40 in parallel with the fixed reference surface 11 of the measurement table 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
