<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that can perform dehumidification, even when cooling operation is performed with a small amount of circulation of a refrigerant. <P>SOLUTION: When a flow path switching valve 51 is arranged at an inlet or an outlet of a cooling evaporator having a plurality of paths through which the refrigerant flows, in a first mode which uses a first path 21, cooling can be performed with the overall evaporator, and in a second or third mode, the refrigerant flows through a part of paths to perform cooling as the evaporator. Accordingly, in the air conditioner having the flow path switching valve 51, the refrigerant can be made to flow only into a first interior heat exchanging section 40a and a third interior heat exchanging section 40c by a controlling section 8 switching the flow path switching valve 51 to the second mode during cooling operation, so that only a part of the interior heat exchanger 40 functions as the evaporator. Consequently, it is possible to reduce capacity being used by the interior heat exchanger 40, and perform dehumidification without losing much sensible heat of sucked air when the capacity of the interior heat exchanger 40 becomes small although an amount of air blowing into the interior heat exchanger 40 does not change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
