<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can appropriately obtain an address stored in another device. <P>SOLUTION: When a facsimile machine 10 receives an acquisition request for a first facsimile number from a multifunctional device 200, it extracts identification information associated with an index number corresponding to the first facsimile number from a registration table.
