<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet separation device capable of adjusting a pressing force of a separation member toward a separation rotary member with a simple structure, and an image reading device and an image forming device each of which employs the sheet separation device. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet separation device is constructed in such a manner that a distance L1 between a rotary shaft 223 and a position on a rotary member 22 for the pressing force F1 of a compression spring 23 to act thereon can be adjusted, whereby a torque acting on the rotary member 22 can be changed by merely adjusting the distance L1. If a torque acting on the rotary member 22 changes, the pressing force F2 of a separation pad 21 in the direction of a separation roller 20 changes too, so that the pressing force F2 of the separation pad 21 in the direction of the separation roller 20 can be adjusted with a simple structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
