<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive capable of preventing a DVD from being erroneously discriminated to be a CD. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk drive does not determine a discrimination result as a CD if a focus error signal CDLD_FE by a laser beam for CD is smaller than a threshold for CDLD_FE even through a discrimination value A is a threshold for the discrimination value A or more (step S30 and step 35 of reference), and does not determine a discrimination result as a CD if a focus error signal CDLD_FE by a laser beam for CD is smaller than a focus error signal DVDLD_FE by a laser beam for DVD even though the discrimination value A is a discrimination value B or more (step S70 and step S75 of reference). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
