<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten regeneration time by raising a temperature of a particulate filter in a short time period, even when an auxiliary machine is already operating at the start of manual regeneration. <P>SOLUTION: Manual regeneration of a particulate filter 6 is started while a vehicle is at rest to narrow down an exhaust flow path by an exhaust brake 14, causing increase of an engine load leading to increase of a fuel injection amount thereby raising temperatures of an exhaust gas 3, and subsequently fuel addition is started by post-injection of a fuel injection apparatus 10, and regeneration of the particulate filter 6 is achieved by reaction heat when the added fuel has performed oxidation reaction on an oxidation catalyst 5. In the method, it is determined whether fuel injection amount after starting the manual regeneration exceeds a reference value, and only if the fuel injection amount exceeds the reference value, narrowing-down of the exhaust flow path of the exhaust brake 14 is released when an exhaust temperature at an inlet of the particulate filter 6 has become a reference temperature or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
