<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a cup-shaped paper container which can be used for frozen foods, in which burning deposit does not occur even when it is directly heated in a microwave oven, and which can be subjected to retort sterilization. <P>SOLUTION: A side end edge of a blank paper layer forming a barrel part is covered with a thermoplastic resin layer provided on both faces of the paper layer. The barrel part includes a barrel part pasting part in which both side end edges of barrel part forming blanks are overlapped and sealed, a lower folded back part formed by folding back a lower end of the barrel part to the inside, and a flange part formed by rolling an upper end of the barrel part outward one and a half times or more and pressing it flat. A bottom face part includes a peripheral edge part folded downward, The lower folded back part of the barrel part is folded further to the inside in a state of the peripheral edge part of the bottom face part being inserted therein to form a leg part of the container.
