<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator apparatus capable of maintaining the rigidity of a pedal arm while protecting a rotation angle sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A pedal arm 21 rotatably supported by a housing 3 which can be mounted onto a vehicle body 6 is rotated in X and Y directions by the leg-power of a driver received on a pad 22. A sensor protection section 23 provided on the pedal arm 21 located closer to the pad side than the rotation angle sensor has a groove dented from the pedal arm 21 toward the direction of the rotary shaft with a protrusion 232 made in the rotating direction. Owing to this, the cross sectional area of the sensor protection section 23 becomes equal to or larger than the cross sectional area of the pedal arm 21 at a position closer to the pad side than the sensor protection section 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
