<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze actions of LPA through an LPA<SB POS="POST">4</SB>receptor and provide methods for drug screening which utilize the actions thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The inventors have produced LPA<SB POS="POST">4</SB>receptor knockout animals and as a result of detailed examination of the knockout animals found that defect of signals from LPA through the LPA<SB POS="POST">4</SB>receptor demonstrates antidiabetic effects and based on these findings completed an invention about methods for screening a compound which is a LPA<SB POS="POST">4</SB>antagonist to be connected to the LPA<SB POS="POST">4</SB>receptor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
