<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of further increasing the number of division when a display screen of a display panel has been already divided into two. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal includes a display panel having a display screen with a touch pad. When executing control relating to image display on each of two display areas as target areas formed by dividing the display screen into two areas with a first boundary, the portable terminal determines a second boundary passing one point on the first boundary and one point within a predetermined range from a touched position on the touch pad on the basis of the touched position, in response to touching on the touch pad. The portable terminal further divides the target area including the one point within the predetermined range from the touched position out of the two display areas into another two areas with the second boundary, then determines another two areas as first and second display areas, instead of the target areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
