<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera unit for a drive recorder which allows a camera body including an electronic camera therein to be used not only when recording images in front of a vehicle, but also when recording images inside the vehicle, and reduces the camera body shake due to vibrations of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A camera unit 1 constitutes a drive recorder. The camera unit 1 includes: a camera body 2 including an electronic camera therein; and a camera holder 3.
