<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a rib for easier adjustment of hit sound. <P>SOLUTION: In a hollow golf club head that includes a face portion, a crown portion and a sole portion and is formed by joining a plurality of shell members, there is included a rib that is disposed in the crown portion for hit sound adjustment; and the plurality of shell members are divided from the boundary of at least the rib.
