<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for stably tensioning a binding tape in a binding machine which can perform certain binding by setting a tensioning force of the binding tape at a constant level when binding a bound object by pulling out the binding tape wound around a reel. <P>SOLUTION: The thermo-adhesive binding tape which is wound around the reel rotatable around a horizontal axis is pulled out by a tape forwarding device and then opened around the horizontal axis to forward it to a rotatable holding device catching the bound object which is composed of two semicircular holding claws. Then, the bound object is bound by winding the binding tape around the bound object while holding the binding tape by upper needles and lower needles arranged on the holding claws and rotating the binding tape together with the bound object at the same time when the holding claws are closed. In the binding machine for gluing the binding tape by heating by a welding device and cutting a non-glued section by a cutting device, the tape tensioning device is arranged at a lower end thereof in a way that it elastically urges the binding tape to a tensioning side passing the binding tape between the reel and the tape forwarding device, and oscillates around the horizontal axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
