<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a thin profile speaker system for video equipment use which can be incorporated in slim video equipment such as a plasma TV or a liquid crystal TV, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A speaker system is composed of two or more speakers disposed in a linear row at center, a front panel provided facing the diaphragms of the speakers, a rear panel provided on a side opposite to the front panel, and side panels to which the front and the rear panels are combined. Partitions for separating the speakers from one another are provided. On the front panel side, slits are formed in a direction perpendicular to the front panel so that sounds will be emitted in a direction perpendicular to the amplitude direction of the speaker diaphragms. On the rear panel side, slits are formed in a direction perpendicular to the rear panel so that sounds will be emitted in a direction opposite to the above sound emitting direction. This speaker system construction ensures that sounds emitted in the front panel and the rear panel directions of the speaker diaphragms will not be mixed together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
