<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically determine at least one extraction color region using color information on an input image signal and perform image processing. <P>SOLUTION: An extraction color region including at least a partial region in an image is determined using color information on an input image signal (captured image signal, reproduction image signal, etc.). Then, image processing is performed on the extraction color region and/or the remaining region except the extraction color region to obtain an output image signal.
