<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which has a solid light source for emitting blue light as an excitation light and a phosphor region which is excited by the excitation light from the solid light source and emits fluorescence of longer wavelength than the emission wavelength of the solid light source, and is capable of preventing irradiation unevenness (color unevenness) without deteriorating light utilization efficiency, by making the size of blue light emission region and the size of fluorescence irradiation region equal to each other. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength selection means 6, which has characteristics of transmitting the excitation light from the solid light source 3 and reflecting the fluorescence from the phosphor region 4, is installed between the phosphor region 4 and the solid light source 3. The wavelength selection means 6 is smaller than the size of the phosphor region 4 but has the size in a range of the size larger by taking into consideration a handling tolerance for adjusting an excitation light irradiation spot position than the size of the excitation light irradiation spot from the light source 3, from the same size as the size of the excitation light irradiation spot from the solid light source 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
