<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub unit capable of providing communication between a person in a washing place and a bather or an open feeling through a window during bathing corresponding to needs of the bather. <P>SOLUTION: It is supposed, for the bathtub unit, that short sides 22 and long sides 23 of a frame 21 at the upper edge of a bathtub 3 are respectively formed into the same length so that the bathtub 3 is installed while freely inverting the installation direction of the bathtub 3 to the right and left. The washing place 3 is adjacent to one long side 23 of the frame 21, and a bay window 15 is adjacent to the other long side 23. Then, on a wall surface 202 of the bathtub 3 positioned on the side of one or the other long side 23 of the frame 21, a step part 28 in which a person can sit while bathing into the bathtub 3 is swollen to the inside and provided.
