<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mechanical parking facilities that can reduce influence of noise light when an optical projection sensor is installed in a getting-on/off room. <P>SOLUTION: In the mechanical parking facilities, a vehicle entering a getting-on/off room 12 is guided to a storage shelf. The mechanical parking facilities include a left projection sensor 36 including a light projection part which emits laser light whose path 62 is determined assuming that the laser light strikes on a projection place 60 when a vehicle enters the getting-on/off room 12 and is parked projecting from a normal storage area, and a light reception part which is provided assuming a path 64 of the reflected light when the reflected light returns from the place 60.
