<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound and image device capable of easily selecting and using a function desired by a user even if there is a duplicate function with a connection device. <P>SOLUTION: A sound and image device of the invention comprises a connection terminal to which a device is connected and through which a signal including voice/image is transmitted and received. The sound and image device comprises a function discrimination unit which performs communication with an external device connected by the connection terminal, exchanges with each other function information indicating whether they have a prescribed function or not, and discriminates whether there is a duplicate function the external device and the sound and image device both have. The sound and image device also comprises a function selection unit which accepts a selection instruction indicating which of the sound and image device and the external device operates a duplicate function. The function selection unit determines and operates which of the sound and image device and the external device operates the duplicate function based on the selection instruction accepted in advance if it has detected an operation instruction of the duplicate function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
