<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely suppress battery consumption in a battery-driven Bluetooth radio device although in a traditional device, battery consumption cannot be completely suppressed by only turning off power of the device depending on the residual quantity of a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A radio adapter comprises: a Bluetooth circuit for communicating with a handy terminal; radio wave detection means provided in the Bluetooth circuit for detecting whether there is a radio wave from outside or not; control means for controlling the Bluetooth circuit; a battery source for driving the control means; and a switch for turning on or off the battery source. The radio adapter turns off the switch if a radio wave has not been detected for a certain period of time based on a detection result of there being a radio wave or not from the radio wave detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
