<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus capable of identifying a registration number corresponding to a reception number, and also preventing an error even when the reception number does not match the registration number completely. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP 1 includes: a destination storage part 21 which stores a destination table in which registration numbers including FAX numbers are registered; an NCU 18 which sends a registration number, selected by a user from the destination table, out to a network to perform call origination processing in transmission of FAX, and receives a reception number as a FAX number of a transmission source in reception of FAX; and a retrieval part 22 which retrieves a registration number corresponding to the reception number from the registration numbers registered in the destination table. When a registration number which matches the reception number completely is not found in the destination table and the reception number consists of 10 or more digits, the retrieval part 22 performs backward match retrieval of 9 or more right-hand digits of the reception number from registration numbers of 10 or more digits registered in the destination table according to numbers of the starting part of the reception number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
